This journey began in the summer of 2006 and lasted until the fall of 2011.

While the reason that brought us to Hawaii was challenging, the islands of Hawai'i, and my opportunities to photograph them, helped provide brief escapes from my daily experiences and deliver me into a whole new world. I like to think that these pictures are my thank you.
