Voyage vers le passé is a bilingual (mostly French) book I produced on the story of my grandfather, Léo Boutet, and all the French Canadian ancestors I could find in his tree. The results date back to the 1600s in New France.

Important names include: Jean-Vincent d'Abbaide de Saint-Castin (a French officer of Acadian history fame), Guillaume Couture (interpreter, peacemaker and adoptee of the Iroquois), Hélène Desportes (the first white girl to be born in New France), Robert Drouin and Anne Cloutier (the first couple to have their catholic marriage recorded in New France registries), Madockawando (Chief and Sachem of the Penobscot ) and his daughter Pidianiske Misoukdkosié, Abraham Martin dit l'Écossais (the Plains of Abraham were named after him), Jean-Baptise Otis dit l'Anglais (a captive of the 1689 Cocheco massacre in Dover, New Hampshire), Claude and his son Charles St-Étienne de La Tour (Governor of Acadia) and 33 Filles du roi.
