Over het boek
The Waterloopbos is a forest in the Noordoostpolder, The Netherlands, a few meters below sea level on the bottom of the former Southern Sea. For years Dutch engineers built here models of waterworks for tests on for example erosion and tides. Since a few years the area has been given back to nature - which gradually takes over the ruins of these models. The book gives a picture on this second episode in the never ending harmonious twist between science and nature.
When I bought my first digital camera in 2003 it led to a rediscovery of photography, making it an important part of my life. I experience it as very much enriching the way I see and experience things, and as a true way of expressing and exploring myself. I hope this is conveyed in my pictures and in my books.
