Over het boek
The story of a school boat club which rose from mid-19th century recreational beginnings on a narrow, winding, weed-choked river, prone to extremes of weather, to be one of the powerhouses of youth rowing in Britain a century later, despite the conditions it had to endure. A sheer love of the sport was shared by masters and pupil alike so that former pupils went on to compete in numbers in national, international and Olympic arenas and in the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race.
