Over het boek
Photographer Huw Morgan captures poignant images of artifacts that remain from the wave of European Settlement that came to southern Ontario in the 19th century. The photographs include decaying cabins, traces of industry and traces of sanctuaries that still dot the Ontario landscape. These structures, some decayed and some preserved, show how quickly nature can reclaim human civilization and raise interesting questions. Why do we preserve some artifacts and not others? How can we change our lifestyles to become more sustainable and live at harmony with nature?
