Tan Del Dobson was born in San Diego, California to two creative parents who were both art majors. When she was a little girl, Tan loved to draw and color. Continually developing her own unique style of drawing, Tan graduated from Arroyo Grande High School and won the Bank of America Achievement Award for Art. Tan graduated with a BA from San Diego State University and majored in Graphic Design. She also holds a MA in Education from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After college, Tan Dobson honed her storytelling skills while working as a K-12 substitute teacher for 11 years. Today she works as an addictions counselor and lives in San Luis Obispo, California.
