Over het boek
This book is a self help book for young women written by the cofounder of Beejewel; a cause oriented brand that believes the queen bee is the symbol for female resilience. The author describes the "art & science of bees & beehives" as a model to improve female community behavior and interaction. The well known "universal styles” of fashion are uniquely and creatively written to describe young women as different kinds of queen bees and worker bees interchangeably. The author lightly touches upon leadership, teamwork, and the symbology of bees. She also explains the importance of confidence and embracing our own female resilience and gives examples of actual women with these characteristics. Being mindful and having purpose is the core theme of the book which ends with several worksheets and a quiz that assist the reader to identify her personal style of bee-ing, to write a bee statement, and to create a beehive of like minded friends. This book helps the reader discover herself, her friends, and redefine her bee-ing.
