Cris Fulton has enjoyed drawing and taking photographs from an early age. Her subject matter is the prairie country of southwestern North Dakota. "The land of my birth seems like a magical place; with its big fields, magnificent skies, massive buttes, spectacular Badlands, winding muddy rivers, rolling hills, scoria roads, prairie grasses, cottonwoods, junipers, buffalo, deer, antelope, horses, and hawks. My work is an attempt to create something from the great joy I feel when I'm out in this wide open space."
