From Memory to Memoir provides memoir writing workshops to nonprofessional writers who have compelling personal stories they want to share with others. Every year, the best of the workshop writing from that year is collected in a published anthology.

Workshop leader Barbara Burt is a writer, editor, and writing coach. Her nonfiction work has been published in national magazines and state-wide newspapers, and her poetry has appeared in literary journals. She leads numerous workshops each year and also consults one-on-one with writers engaged in a longer project.
