Travis Beasley has written quite unsuccessfully for the stage and screen, and has two half-finished - and thus, unpublished - novels. His short stories and essays, confined to hard drives somewhere, are quite good - in his opinion. A father of three, Travis spends much of his time parenting. Enough said. When he escapes, he prefers cities to beaches, particularly Vienna, Rome, Milan, Melbourne and Singapore. He recently discovered Jakarta and New York. Smaller cities he likes include Oslo, Bergen, Salzburg, Lausanne and his home town of Perth, Australia. The scariest place he has ever been is Carnarvon, Western Australia. Travis harbours romantic notions of trekking, sea kayaking and cycling vast distances. He turns thirty each May. |
