Jerry and Nina Jackson took their first airplane flight together on their second date, when they flew Jerry’s experimental airplane to the desert to see the wildflowers and have a picnic lunch. Soon afterwards, they began flying to wineries throughout California, when they had the idea to write this book. For them, it was a perfect way to combine their love of flying together with their love of fine wine.

Nina has a business degree and has been a sales manager for most of her career. A native Californian, she has lived throughout the State. Besides flying and wine, she enjoys hiking and camping, and regularly completes marathons with her friends.

Jerry is a civil engineer, and has practiced environmental engineering throughout his career. He’s taught at six universities and manages his own consulting business. An avid pilot and skydiver, he holds one national and 14 world records, and has built three experimental airplanes.
