Lurlynn is an accomplished musician, photographer, poet, actress, director, composer, artist, and author. As a music major at BYU, she played the tenor saxophone with the elite jazz band, Synthesis. She plays most woodwind instruments, and taught herself to play the flute. Lurlynn has recorded and performed with Lex de Azavedo in Israel, SL Tabernacle, Albravanel Hall, and in Kurt Bestor Studios. Lurlynn has recorded, directed, and performed as a soloist and instrumentalist with Kaye Starr Heninger in Alaska, Israel, and all over Utah. She has also sung and soloed with the Ruth Gatrell Singers, Sanpete Singers, Davis Master’s Choral, Snow College, the Olympics Arts Festival Choir, and has been invited to direct and perform in AZ, CA, OR, ID, and NM.
She has produced, directed, and performed in musical benefit concerts to support McKay Dee Hospital, performed on 14 musical CDs. She is mother of 7, step-mother of 10, mother-in-law of 13, and grandmother of 31 with 2 more on the way.
