Over het boek
Getty’s Elephant Broke My Leg in Three Places
Some 21 years ago the poet Jim Moore listened to my oral recitation. I told him that I hoped someone might put it on paper. He asked me to repeat the tale. I did and he once more listened. Then he said, "Write down, word-for-word, what comes out of your mouth". The result was Getty's Elephants, the one and only story I would ever write down, or so I expected.
