Over het boek
This is the story of my father, Walter Pawlesh, in World War Two. He was a tail gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress in England. On his seventh mission, he was wounded and bailed out of the burning plane. He was captured after evading for five days and sent to Dulag Luft in Frankfurt for interrogation. Eventually, he was sent to the Stalag 17 in Krems, Austria. At the end of the war, the POWs were marched across Austria to be liberated by the US Army. 158 pages with 131 photos.
