Over het boek
In 2024, I traveled to Japan. When I returned, I did a series
of paintings informed by my impressions of places and things.
I created these acrylic and graphite paintings on handmade
mulberry paper that I bought in Kyoto, Paris, London, and Brooklyn.

Ellen Weider lives in Manhattan, New York City. She received an MFA from Pratt Institute and a BA from Hunter College. Collections include: New York Public Library, Prints and Drawings Collection; Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division; Rutgers Print Study Archive, Zimmerli Art Museum, New Brunswick, New Jersey; Memorial Sloan Kettering Art Collection, New York City; Capital Group Art Collection, New York, NY; Fidelity Investments Art Collection, Boston, MA; Georgetown University art Collection, Washington, DC; Free Library of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA; Newark Public Library Print Collection, Newark, NJ; and multiple private collections. Her work is included in the Bau Contentiore di Cultura Contemporanea, N. 18, 2021-2022. Her catalog “E.W. Squared: Ellen Weider Drypoint Prints” is in the collection of the Widener Library at Harvard University. Weider’s work has been exhibited internationally.
