This book is the result of a project to apply various techniques to give the selected photographs a vintage, late 1800s, early 1900s feel. I'm fascinated with the erotica produced in this period and particularly the French Carte Postale risqué images produced in the early 20th century ... collected but rarely posted. They were often sold in sets of 4, 8 or 12 and in the UK, where they were illegal, under the counter.

I have manipulated the original photographs using various techniques such as colour toning and adding vignettes, grain, light leaks, dust, dirt and scratches.
