A Splinter of Melevolence: The Ghost War
The deadliest weapons are not made of steel. They are forged in faith and fueled by the dead.
World War II rages, but for a small, clandestine team of Allied commandos, the war is about to take a turn for the supernatural.
Captain Fitzwilliam, a hardened operative of the British SOE, is tasked with a simple, high-stakes mission: parachute into Italy and locate a hidden German intelligence cache near the ancient monastery of Monte Cassino. His team includes Nora, a disciplined SOE agent, and Captain Calvin, a distinguished Tuskegee Airman who provides air support.
But what they find is not a strategic document—it's an ancient evil.
The cache contains the Malice Fragment, an artifact of pure spiritual corruption, now in the hands of the Nazi Totenwache, a shadowy SS division. Using its impossible power, the enemy is not only raising the dead, but commanding the terrifying, spectral host of a Roman Praetorian Guard.
Trapped between a brutal Axis military force and a legion of unfightable ghosts, Fitzwilliam and his team must abandon their military protocols and fight a new kind of war—one for their own souls. As the lines between historical combat and supernatural terror blur, they must quickly forge themselves into a brotherhood and sisterhood of the soul, for their failure will not just lose the war, but unleash a shadow across the entire world.
