Meet the families that made this place a fitting chapter in the Country Place Era; from an early German farming family, to a Pittsburgh Industrialist, a Fairview agriculturalist, a gardener from England, and later a New York advertising executive, the 90 acre estate had it all; a working farm, gardens culminating in a horticultural heaven, a blend of coniferous and deciduous trees which made it a veritable arboretum framing unsurpassed lake views all anchored on a preeminent point in Fairview and Erie County history.

This book is the outgrowth of over three years of intense research and serendipitous dot connecting by the author who is the grandson of the Allan Holland and Sarena Weislogel family. It is both an honor and a pleasure to restore this crown jewel of Fairview from a century past.
