Over het boek
This photography book showcases our trip in 2025 to USA and Canada (after our 10 day coach tour of the Wonders of the American West). The 665 photographs in this book hopefully portray what my eyes captured through my camera lenses during our travels. From the absolute beauty of the brilliant autumn colours in the landscapes to the many interesting and historic buildings and places we explored. I also endeavoured to capture some of the quirkiness of small towns and town folks which we visited during our tour.
We first flew from Las Vegas to Phoenix in Arizona for a 4 day visit, then flew to Newark in New Jersey to stay in a beautiful gated community in Kinnelon, which is located an hour by public transport from New York City. We then visited the beautifully restored Saint Hubert’s Chapel which is tucked on a private island in the middle of Smoke Rise Lake. Our 7 days road trip to eastern Canada was expertly planned our son who is a USA resident. We travelled in his Tesla S electric car and were introduced to the amazing self drive and navigation functions. We travelled to Ottawa for a one day extensive exploration of the city. On Tuesday 21 October we travelled to Mont Tremblant mountain ski resort to experience the beautiful autumn colours.
Next day we explored Quebec City for a one day visit before travelling to Montreal for a 2 day more extensive stay. On our return to USA, we spent one night in Lake George.
Finally, back for 4 days at our NJ residence where we explored the Smoke Rise district in Kinnelon and Smoke Rise Lake area, which looked splendid in autumn fall colours. On the final day, we went on a full day exploration of New York City and walked our legs off including a tour of the 69 floor Rockefeller Centre in Manhattan. Finally, on Saturday 1 November, we departed for the long 18 hour direct flight home to Auckland in NZ BB August 2026
