This is a laugh-out-loud book that reads a bit like Mayle's book, "A Year in Provence," but is actually "two weeks in Burgundy." Replete with wit, humor, adventure (sometimes scary), Witmore gives insight into the process of painting on location and provides ink/watercolor sketches that are charming, fresh, and colorful. The book culminates in finished oil paintings based on sketches.

As a professional fine artist since 1990, I have had one woman shows featuring watercolors in the early years and currently focusing on oil painting. I continue to travel, paint and produce personal journals and sketches of my travels. My book with blurb contains the best collection of stories from my travels to France.
