In March, 2015 I had the opportunity to fly to Morocco with the fabulous Lucas sisters for a short trip to see Marrakesh.

We got on a short flight and went to see the famous Medina, the endless souks full of exotic treats, eat the traditional food and experience a taste of Moroccan culture.

I photographed everything that caught my eye and focused on the red shades of the city which has made it famous. The locals in the city were difficult to capture and often refused to be caught by my camera. Others demanded money but many were friendly and too busy too notice me. Outside the Medina people were more receptive to me taking photographs and I managed to capture some special moments.

This book shows a select number of the photographs that I managed to get. The images capture elements that create this enchanting and majestic city through portraits of the locals, the landscapes, construction, architecture and small details that are unique to Morocco, Marrakesh and Africa.
