MY FAMILY and I have been traveling to the Oregon and California coasts, nearly every year for as long as I can remember. In all the times we have made the journey, I'm sure of one thing. We NEVER failed to stop and get salt water taffy along the route.



THE BEACH. Some favorite memories are the times we made huge campfires on the beach, buried ourselves neck deep in the warm summer sand, made sand moats to stand in (until the ocean waves washed them away) flew our kite, "Old Flying Fool" with Bopi, using all the string we had, then adding another entire spool. But the best part was the time we made to spend with our family. I was too busy playing to capture the images that I remember from those trips to the beach when I was a kid, but over the last several years, I've managed to put together this small collection of images of the Pacific Coast. The majority of the images in this book are from the Oregon Coast with a few pictures from Monterey and Santa Cruiz, California.
