Over het boek
A re-examination of Christian history as an evolutionary process. A sometimes tongue-in-cheek look at the forces which have guided religious development. Did Santa Claus help turn Jesus into a God? Why do natural disasters target the American Bible Belt? ... and more.

Over de maker
Erik Oltheten grew up in a home where philosophical, political, and religious issues were in constant debate. One sister a PhD and university professor, the other a student of Law and insurance executive. His Uncle was a religious author and Jesuit priest. His Maternal Grandfather was a Protestant Minister. His extended family was in publishing. As an engineer of complex systems, he was trained to recognize unseen system influences and feed-back mechanisms. Although his writings were originally for the sake of leaving a record for his sons, others prompted him to make his writings generally available.
