Over het boek
Everlasting Hope is a collection of photographs and interview snippets that has given several homeless people of Houston, Texas a voice. Through a series of brief conversations, we were able to motivate the interviewees to be transparent and share part of their lives with us. The concept of this project was inspired by popular blog pages such as: “Humans of New York” and “Portraits of Boston.” We narrowed the spectrum by choosing a much smaller audience to interview. A constant question in each of the conversations was: “Is there any hope for you being in this current situation?” Although, the replies varied in detail, structure, and confidence, each homeless person conveyed some type of hope for something greater.
