She recalls years on picket lines, learning "if you take a stand, be willing to take the risk" and what it was like being in the vanguard, standing up for self-determination and equity. Best known as one of the co-founders of the long-running and beloved ODUNDE festival, Lois Fernandez shares favorite memories from a life well-lived. From audio interviews recorded and edited by Debora Kodish. Introduction by Dr. Caroliese Frink-Reed. Foreword by Oshunbumi Fernandez. Illustrated. $20
