Over het boek
Following the Armistice that ended World War I, members of Union Congregational Church in Montclair, NJ worked with Tiffany Studios to create a lasting memorial to the 100 men and women associated with the church who served during the war in the Army or Navy, or with relief and welfare organizations. Frederick Wilson, head of Tiffany's Ecclesiastical Department, designed stained glass windows for the church "to illustrate the spirit of sacrifice."
Drawing on original documents in the church's archives, this illustrated article notes the service of church members during the war, describes Wilson's design, and discusses how church leaders worked with Tiffany Studios to create a beautiful memorial that continues to inspire people a century later.
