Over het boek
In the fall of 1970, two couples rented a Cessna single-engine airplane and flew through Mexico to Guatemala where they traveled by bus and train. This photo-journal tells the story of that trip with photographs and personal text. Mexico City streets, Mayan ruins at Palenque, anti-government demonstrators in Guatemala City, and the indigenous people of the Alta Verapaz of Guatemala are some of the subjects of this visually stunning description of "Middle America" almost one-half century ago.
