Over het boek
From Mc Leod Ganj in Himachal Pradesh, the home of the exiled Dalai Lama, to Ladakh. A region that due to its location and isolation on top of the wolrd retains a secluded charm. Only in the summer months it is possible to negotiate the himalayan mountain passes behind which a unique and over centuries preserved world awaits. This is a collection of images showing the extraordinary architecture dotted in the beautiful landscape to encounters with buddhist nuns and monks performing religious rituals. Enjoy the journey!

Over de maker
Felix was born in Leipzig, Germany. He is a photographer, traveller, outdoor enthusiast, lover of his girlfriend, life in general, good wine and food and a world citizen. Travels have taken him all over Europe, including a two months epic bike journey through France and Italy. Later he ventured through Russia, Mongolia into Southeast Asia and further on to Australia and New Zealand where he now lives in the 6th year. Any means of travel are welcome especially when they allow you to make your own pace, allow you to immerse in local life, allow you to have all your senses stimulated. Or like the English writer and poet Gilbert K. Chesterton put it: ' The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.'
