Over het boek
David Adam's Wildsketch is a visually expressive and narrative exploration of the Scottish mountains and glens. Open air sketching captures special moments in the highland landscape but that privilege comes with many challenges, from blizzards to midgies. The artist describes the wildlife discovered during twelve adventures in the eastern highlands and the sketches, photographs and story relate specifically to one day in each month. An ambition to combine a passion for mountainous, wild places and an appreciation of nature creates a sharing journey through Scotland's natural heritage, delivering meaning to an inherited spiritual and soulful need amongst us all. The conservation of landscape and wildlife habitats is essential for Scotland's future; hopefully this book will link and give value to both. David studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, is a member of the Scottish Mountaineering Club and a professional of the Society of Scottish Artists.
