Over het boek
Dan Wooster began painting watercolors at age eleven on the East Coast. His passion for paint-now in oil- has continued in the same studio in California for over 16 years. Wooster holds a BFA from the Art Institute of Boston, and has received training with the Rhode Island School of Design and Cornell University. He has taught drawing and painting at the Valley Art Institute, Glendale College and is an adjudicator for the Los Angeles Emerging Young Artist Awards and a member of the Los Angeles Visual Artist’s Association
Numerous solo and group shows have traced the progress of Wooster’s maturing work. Portraits, figures, still-life, and landscapes are the basis of his imagery. The process begins with plaster applied to wood. Thick and thin paint are then applied with brush, palette knife and by hand. Paint is scraped or sanded away to reveal depth and textures from the layers below.

Over de maker
Born and raised in New York, Chip moved to Los Angeles in 1993 where he started a Mosaic Studio. After spending some time as a Los Angeles artist, Chip developed the concept for Art Share L A. The thought of a place where low-income artists could receive life and employment skills while giving back to the community was the beginning of what now is a large multi-level arts incubator serving the many people of Los Angeles. Chip later moved back to NY in 2001 to be with family after 9/11 and using the arts incubator concept he created Mosaica (an architect / designer resource). He is presently President Emeritus of the Patchogue Arts Council and with business partner Charlie Baker he has created Krystal (the first company to manufacture and nationally distribute glass writing boards) and C Squared (a fine arts gallery that helps market the work of some very talented artists) Among his accomplishments was receipt of the Presidents Daily Point of Light Award by President Bill Clinton
