Blurb Wraps up Cannes Lions With ‘Cannes Captured 2010’

2010 Official Cannes Lions wrap book to be published by Blurb
Attendees of the show invited to submit content for the book at the Blurb stand on the Parvis

London—June 09, 2010 — Blurb, the creative publishing and marketing platform, is calling for submissions to the official Cannes Lions event wrap book, Cannes Captured 2010. Available at the end of July, Cannes Captured 2010 will collate all of this year’s event highlights and will include submissions from attendees themselves.

Attendees of the show are invited to visit the Blurb stand on the Parvis to submit anything inspired by their week at Cannes, including photos, illustrations or text, for a chance to be featured in the official wrap book. The book will be published at the end of July and made available via the Blurb bookstore.

Cannes Captured will be about delegates’ experiences of the festival, which is why we’re inviting them to submit their highlights and content directly to Blurb during and after the show,” commented Philip Thomas, CEO of Cannes Lions. “It’s the people that make the festival what it is; our speakers, juries, award winners and attendees. And with Cannes simply bursting with creative people, I have no doubt Cannes Captured 2010 will be a fantastic record of the Festival. Just go to the Blurb stand on the Parvis and upload you photos, illustrations, or text.”

The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival will be staged 20 –26 June. It aims to provide a global meeting place for professionals in the communications industry, offering seven days of award ceremonies, seminars, workshops, master classes, exhibitions, screenings and networking.

Teresa Pereira, Senior Director of European Market Development, Blurb, commented: “Cannes Lions 2010 is one of the world’s biggest celebrations of creativity and what better way to capture the experience of the show than in an official book. Our partnership with Cannes Lions means that for the first time people attending the show will be able to recommend content that has stood out for them. The resulting book will be a showcase for the creativity, ideas and energy of the show, and people looking to buy the book will have the option of personalising the front cover with an image of their choice”.

Attendees of the show can make submissions for the book by dropping by the Blurb stand on the Parvis throughout the week or emailing work to cannes@blurb.com by July 3rd.

Up to 5 submissions will be accepted per person. Recommended specifications are 300 dpi for photos and files no bigger than 5mb. Files should include your name and a short description of the picture/artwork. All submissions require a signed release form. Image quality and size will be taken into consideration. Please visit the Blurb blog for further details on how to submit content for consideration.
