Kathleen L. Ryan is a wildlife photographer and author whose work reflects a lifelong commitment to careful observation and respect for the natural world. Her photography spans several decades and includes field work in East Africa and wildlife observation along California’s central coast.
She is the author of Witness to the Wild: A Photo Safari in East Africa, Portraits of Endangered Wildlife, The Beauty of Birds in Flight, Who’s Looking at You?, and Baby Ducks, Baby Geese. She maintains a field archive of 3,500+ wildlife observations on iNaturalist documenting species, locations, and dates.
