My passion for the ocean and photography began during my childhood in a small village close to Ogmore-by-Sea in South Wales. Here I would take photographs of the powerful waves crashing on the rocks with my first film camera. Now, I live in New Zealand where I am surrounded by an incredible ocean environment that provides a magnificent setting for many of my seascapes. To create the look and feel inherent in my work I wait for the exquisite light of sunrise and sunset and combine this with very long exposures that allow the capture of the variations in light and form during the passing of this time.
