My style of photography derives from portraiture and landscapes. I get most pleasure from taking images of people within an environment where the location and surroundings also add to the story of the photograph.

I work in many areas of people related photography – individual and family portraits, reportage, weddings, social gatherings and commercial portraiture. I love meeting people, some who are nervous about being in front of the camera, getting to know them a little and then translating their personality into an image that tells a story, often surprises and above all pleases. I am always looking for a different angle.

I love landscape, urban and street photography, close-up work from nature and architecture – all viewed with an eye to creating a fine art image.

I have been very lucky to take photographs in many remote areas of the world: Mali, Bhutan, Pakistan, Patagonia, and Western China to name but a few.
