In 1995, Dr. Brooks answered the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She preached her initial sermon on April 13, 1997, at Parks Chapel Freewill Baptist Church (now Kingdom Impact Global Ministries) in Fayetteville, NC, and was ordained in 1999.

Dr. Brooks is the founder and director of Healing Streams Ministry, a non-profit organization that ministers to hurting and abused men & women. Dr. Brooks is an associate Elder at Kingdom Impact Global Ministries, Fayetteville, NC. She is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and a Certified Professional Life Coach. Dr. Brooks loves the study of the Word of God.
