My lifelong passion has been trains and family. Growing up in upstate New York, I developed an intense interest in railroads and through friends developed as a serious photographer, being active for over 40 years. Train photography has taken me all across the US and even to a few foreign lands such as photographing the last great steam trains in China. My collection contains over 20,000 quality colors slides and like most other photographers, I have changed over to digital. It has increased my interest tremendously. And, that interest in trains and travel allowed my family to visit a hundred places along with me. My passion continues and I am now focussing on scanning and editing some of those thousands of images, hoping to develop some into books and publications. Train photography is fun and not only the travel has been a tremendous experience but my photographs have appeared in hundreds of books and publications.
