Over
I'm a world traveler who enjoys nature and adventures of all kinds. I have explored much of the known world on business and for pleasure, most extensively in Europe, Africa, North and South America, India and China.
From 1995 to the day I retired (June 2008), I managed International Development projects for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), mostly in Latin America and Africa.
Before 1995, I worked as a geologist in Canada mostly on projects related to mineral exploration in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Quebec and Saskatchewan.
In my spare time, I like to travel, take pictures (photography) and research my family history (genealogy).
I've been retired since June 2008, which means that I can now do all the things that I've always wanted to do but never had time before. This includes compiling a large proportion of the thousands of photographs that I’ve taken since 1969, when I bought my first camera, into illustrated story books.
