Over het boek
Tissue proposes processing grief through analogies water flowing, driving, smoking, and cleaning the sky. Pre-emptive and not, the words mingle with imagery, processing sorrow, absence, regret, family, longing, smoking, religion, medication, and race relations. An excerpt: “You were nicer when you were suffering. / Everything finds a way to bleed.”
