It’s always difficult to capture both the tone and texture of such an ancient artifact of culture within a broad landscape without a large format field camera, but one attempts anyway to embody a feeling of serenity in these time remote stones, damaged and reduced as they are, set in a countryside you can imagine William Blake walking through. The stillness of place has its own endlessness.
