13 Generations of Lewises from Edmund Lewis (1601-1651) to 2020. Focus on Lewis pioneers in Colorado, including brothers Julius Curtis Lewis (1834-1907) and Andrew Robinson "AR" Lewis, one of the first settlers in the San Juan Region, which includes Durango, and Julius' sons, Charles Aaron Lewis (1877-1927) and William Benjamin Lewis (1870-1937). WB Lewis was an 1892 graduate and board member of the Colorado School of Mines. Related to Jackson Family in the book by Oscar Burton Robbins, of Loveland, Colorado, 1951, and Phoebe Jackson Lewis Vennum (1784-1889). Amanda Jackson (1840-1923), daughter of Aaron Case Jackson (1800-1879), and Benjamin Jackson Lewis (1805-1890) are direct ancestors. Eliza Jane Decker (1811-1890), who married Benjamin Jackson Lewis, was related to Peter Decker of Deckertown, NY.
