Over het boek
A Century Apart chronicles then and now photographs of Lincolnville, Kansas with imagery captured by freelance amateur photographers, Edward Fisher and his great-grandson, Brian Smarker, the author. Not only does it pair photographed scenes taken about 100 years ago to modern times from the same location and viewpoint, but also provides a glimpse into one family's existence in this sleepy farm community. Steam machinery contributed to the town's existence with railroads and traction engines. Few of the town's businesses such as the bank and church are still operational while others have either been upgraded, removed, or ravaged by time.
