Over het boek
This book is about stopping to smell not only the roses but also the dill, the dandelions and the burrs. It's about the beauty hidden in our own backyards.
The images in this book were shot between April and November 2009 in the gardens of the West Broadway and Armstrong Point in inner-city Winnipeg. The photos were taken where the plants grew -- with no additional lighting or staging -- on a modern digital camera using vintage portrait and close-up lenses.
