Over het boek
My husband's great-grandfather, Albert Binder, came to the US from Bohemia in the wave of Czech immigration during the latter half of the 19th century. He settled in the Dakota Territory in 1878 with his wife, Anna, and had eleven children, but his own parentage was a mystery. With the help of the internet to locate Czech researchers as well as other descendants in the US, we have found his birth villages. This is his story, illustrated with photos taken on several of our trips to the Czech Republic.
