Over het boek
This book conveys the “invisible rules of Japan” through art. Arisa Itami was inspired by the pictograms that were first created for the occasion of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Just as those pictograms visualized language for the world, this book is filled with the desire to know Japan by visualizing and communicating Japan's invisible rules – which words cannot always well capture – as art.
To let others know about Japanese culture, which has been gaining attention since the Tokyo Olympics, it will be easier to make connections for the world through art. We aim to convey meaning in a way that is fun and easy to understand, even if one does not understand the language.
