Compared to what is considered the norm for Western families, Chinese families maintain a significantly closer relationship with their parents and siblings with nine percent of children living in the same neighborhood as their parents, forty-eight percent living just a twenty minute walk away and twenty-five percent of children having daily contact with their parents.
