Over het boek
A small section of Scottish coastline should have been an ideal place to calm the soul and refresh the senses, but photographer Kath Polley found it more and more of a challenge to ignore the sheer volume of primarily plastic waste washing up with every tide. Taking a different approach to documenting the pollution, these photographs use all the tricks the photographer would normally have employed to hide the rubbish, to elevate it to something approaching beautiful in the hope that it might prompt questions about our complacency and acceptance of this scourge to our natural environements.
