Over het boek
Journeyman is the 1st volume in a retrospective series. Journeyman begins with Bill Iles' early life but is primarily a reflection by Iles' on the first decade (1967-1977) of his adult life, which he considered an apprenticeship in his journey to becoming an artist. Iles found himself seemingly transitioning every two years, moving from Louisiana Tech to the Standing Rock Reservation, then to Louisiana Baptist College, back to Louisiana Tech, and finally to Northeast State University. Iles' early adult life was marked by his pursuit of a college environment where he could both teach art and further his development as an artist. For him, it was a period filled with uncertainty and self-doubt.
