Eswatini (in Swazi: eSwatini; in English: Eswatini), officially the Kingdom of Eswatini (in Swazi: Umbuso weSwatini; in English: Kingdom of Eswatini and formerly known as Swaziland, is a country in Southern Africa, bordered to the east by Mozambique and in all other directions across South Africa. Its capitals are Mebabane (administrative) and Lobamba (legislative). The country and its people take their names from Mswati II, a 19th-century king during whose reign the territory of Eswatini was expanded and unified.
