This is a first book in a series about Asia's high mountain areas. Rather than telling a travel story with pictures, the book aims to rebuild the atmosphere which I experienced during a 3 week trekking in the valleys and high mountians. Ladakh offers a special experience, a mystical quality which is the images try to convey. Text is used sparingly and leaves the images to speak for themselves, just a little explanation is offered to locate the image and to enhance its viewing experience in the same way music would do.
