Over het boek
This book presents a glimpse of Afghanistan in 1969 from the p.o.v. of a young traveler, unsophisticated both in craft and education. Little did he realize that this way of life, passing before his eye and lens, was soon to be driven to the brink of extinction. How much has survived? How many have survived the intervening forty years?
Within is an attempt to remind that there was a viable way of life, and despite material poverty, it was (and is) their spirit that formed the essential part of being Afghan.
Note: This is a revised edition.
